Reader Service Department
Main areas of the department's activities:
- Carries out library and bibliographic services, fully and promptly satisfying readers’ information requests.
- Ensures preservation of the library collection.
- Organizes events and book exhibitions within various projects.
- «Subscription of educational literature» – through an electronic queue system provides textbooks and study materials in kazakh, russian and english for one semester or academic year; if necessary, extends the usage period.
- «Subscription of fiction literature» – provides works of national and world classics in kazakh, russian and foreign languages for one month; the term can be extended upon reader request.
Additional infrastructure:
«Inclusive learning zone» – specially equipped space located on the basis of the educational literature subscription, intended for students with special educational needs.
Special equipment and learning materials:
- ClearReader+ speech synthesis reading device;
- textbooks printed in Braille;
- portable tactile Braille display;
- printer for embossed Braille printing.
